Three nights into my Atlantic crossing, I discovered that the real magic of cruising happens when you abandon your itinerary and chase the stars instead.

I wasn't supposed to be awake at 2 AM on night three of my Virgin Voyages cruise. According to my carefully planned itinerary—color-coded and everything—I should've been passed out in my cabin after the Damp Room spa session and the ridiculously good burger I'd demolished at Toast. But my body clock was completely off, and I'd given up fighting it around midnight.
