I went on a Disney cruise expecting relaxation. Instead, I discovered a ruthlessly competitive trivia circuit that would make Jeopardy! contestants look casual.

When my family booked our first Disney Cruise Line voyage on the Disney Dream, I pictured myself lounging on deck with a frozen drink, maybe catching a Broadway-style show, and definitely avoiding anything that required me to use my brain. Spoiler alert: I was hilariously wrong. It all started innocently enough on our second evening aboard.
