Here's how to approach sea day dining like a seasoned cruiser. Start With a Real Breakfast The main dining room serves breakfast on sea days and it's a very different experience from the buffet. Sit-down service, real coffee, eggs made to order, and the chance to actually relax and have a conversation. Most ships open the MDR for breakfast from 7:30–9:30am. Go early (7:30–8am) to avoid the crowd and enjoy it as a peaceful start to your day.
